Drumming – Eneeks

For the past couple of years I’ve had the pleasure of working with Chris Skeene – Eneeks and the entourage that surrounds him. I’ve primarily been drumming with Eneeks for his live shows, however as a lot of the tracks hadn’t been played live yet, tweaks in the arrangement and instrumentation was also in need and I was fortunate in that Chris put his trust in me to help with exactly this.

Contours

Contours by joeedgley

Contours is the first ambient relaxation album composed, performed, arranged and produced by Joe Edgley in 2008.

Introduced with ‘Glacier’ and ending with ‘Offshore, Contours develops progressively representing the journey of water from high up in the mountains, through woodlands and rivers and out to the sea.

Contours is best described as an ambient and spacious soundscape with a blend of soft piano, strings, sampled choirs and ‘round the glass’ sounds which enhance the peacefulness of the atmospheres captured. Musically, Contours is often likened to the work of Brian Eno’s “Ambient 2: The Plateaux of Mirror”.
